Postal uniforms through the ages
The outfits of Postal employees have changed greatly over the centuries.
During the Swedish rule, mail was transported mostly in everyday clothes, while during the Russian rule, uniforms emphasized official status. Since the 1970s, workwear has become more practical and emphasize the corporate image, with the development of materials and manufacturing methods.
Today, clothing is manufactured to support the users’ ergonomics and to be suitable for various work tasks. Occupational safety, visibility and usability are taken into account based on user experiences.
